Style Arc Imogen pink maxi skirt / Jupe maxi rose Style Arc

It seems summer is upon us here in Canada and I couldn't be happier. I definitely prefer outdoor pictures when it comes to documenting the clothes I make!
To me, summer fashion should be uncomplicated and simple, this is why I gravitate towards easy to wear clothes that make you feel good.
For this outfit I repeated a favorite of mine - the Style Arc Imogen maxi skirt - which I made with the fantabulous dutch cotton knit from EmmaOneSock. That colour is called antique rose. The weight is just perfect for that skirt: it hugs you without being clingy and it drapes beautifully. Wrinkling is minimal. That fabric pairs with the pattern so well that I plan to make more versions in different colourways, plus it's really an instant gratification project - like 2 hours from cutting to hemming, and I'm not a fast sewist!
Love: the folded yoga waistband, the comfort, the unfussy elegance!

A very comfortable maxi skirt! / Une jupe maxi vraiment confo! |
The top is a self drafted pattern... perhaps I will blog about it later. Another instant gratification project, so I have already made several versions of it. This one is in a beautiful modal/lycra jersey from Fabric Mart, and I love that particular shade of gray with the soft pink. Isn't it a great colour combination?
All right, that's it for today! I've been away from blogging for a loooong time for all sorts of life circumstances, including the pandemic, but blogging is something I like and I might resume, who knows... I have so much stuff to show you!
Anyhow, thanks a lot for stopping by! :-)
